- Details of Disappearance:
- Andrea disappeared from her South Carolina home on April 24, 1993. She lived there with her husband, Larry, and their two young children. What’s strange is that she left behind her car, van, jewelry, and other valuable things, but her purse, suitcase, and toothbrush were gone. She also left money in the bank and never collected her last paycheck. Her mother, who had taken one of the children to Disney World that day, couldn’t reach her and reported her missing four days later. Larry, however, didn’t report her missing and seemed unconcerned.
Things got even more suspicious. Their young daughter had recurring nightmares and told her grandparents that her father hurt and possibly buried her mother. Larry had a prior domestic violence conviction involving Andrea, where he’d violently attacked her. He moved to West Virginia shortly after Andrea vanished and later tried to sell her truck using a forged signature, for which he served time in prison. While in prison, he was even charged with Andrea’s murder, but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence, partly because the daughter couldn’t reliably testify. Andrea’s body has never been found. Because of all this, police strongly suspect foul play was involved in Andrea’s disappearance.
