The photograph above shows Garrett wearing braces, but he no longer had them by the time of his disappearance, and his hair was much longer, down to his shoulders. He has a small gap between his two upper front teeth and a birthmark on his right forearm.
Details of Disappearance:
On August 20, 2004, 13-year-old Garrett went missing during a Boy Scout trip in the Uinta Mountains of Utah. He was fishing with his dad near Cuberant Lake. His feet got wet, so he walked the short distance (about 150 yards) back to their campsite to change shoes. He never made it.

A big search found almost nothing. A single sock was found far from where he was last seen, but it’s unclear if it was his. The area is difficult to navigate, and that day was freezing cold with rain and hail. Garrett knew how to survive in the wilderness, having completed special training.

Police think Garrett got lost and died from the cold weather, not that he was kidnapped, because there’s no evidence of that.
