Her left ring finger doesn’t function properly.
- Details of Disappearance:
- On May 26, 1997, Angela Zimmerman left her parents’ house in Gifford, Illinois, around 8:30 PM after getting a soda. She was believed to have gone to a party in nearby Rantoul. Someone said she was dropped off near her home around 3:00 AM on May 27th, but that wasn’t confirmed. She vanished and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Angela left everything behind – her purse had been stolen earlier, so she had no ID, money, or credit cards. She also never picked up her last paycheck from her part-time job.
Her husband was in the Marines in Japan at the time, and they had a difficult marriage; some say they were separated or divorced. Even though they were having problems, it was very unusual for her to disappear without a trace.
Police searched thoroughly but found nothing. Interestingly, another woman, Jamie Harper, disappeared from the Rantoul area in 2007. Police think the cases might be linked because there’s the same person of interest in both, but they haven’t been able to prove a connection. Police haven’t ruled out foul play in Angela’s case, and it remains a mystery.
