Parts of her body were found much earlier, in 1989: her head in a paint can on a New Jersey golf course, and her legs 80 miles away. Scientists used DNA to identify her in 2013. Police think she was killed by Joel Rifkin, a serial killer already in prison for nine murders. He might have killed her first.
