- Details of Disappearance:
- On June 4, 2003, Rawley disappeared from her home in College Park, Maryland. A neighbor saw her on her porch around 6:45-7:00 am. Since having strokes in 2001, Rawley rarely went out alone, only to get the mail. Her son found her missing when he got home at 3:30 pm that day. Nothing was stolen from the house. Her purse and wallet were still there.
Police dogs followed her scent from her front door (a door she usually didn’t use) to the corner of the street, but lost the trail. Rawley liked gardening, puzzles, and reading. She owned a beach house but hadn’t been there since she disappeared.
The police don’t think she was harmed, but they don’t know what happened to her. The case is still unsolved.
