- On August 3, 2008, at 5:30 PM, Thompson was last seen walking away from the ocean on Capistrano Street in Pismo Beach, California. She lived nearby and usually went for evening walks. She disappeared and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
The police looked for her, but couldn’t find any clues. Thompson had gotten lost before, and while help was offered, she preferred to live independently. Her family lived far away, but her neighbors kept an eye on her. Sadly, what happened to her is still a mystery.
