The Connie B. was a large (64-foot) black sailboat with yellow stripes and a white sail. They were heading to Sitka, Alaska, a journey they thought would take about a month.
They were never seen again. No one has heard from them since they left. There are conflicting reports about what happened to their boat – some say it was never found, others say it was wrecked. The mystery of their disappearance remains unsolved.
