- In November 2006, Simmons vanished near Buchanan Dam in Texas. Nearly three years later, in July 2009, her body was discovered in Inks Lake. It had been placed in a boat, sunk under a bridge, and weighted down to keep it from floating back up. Using dental records, authorities identified the body in August. They concluded Simmons was murdered, but the case remains unsolved, and no one has been arrested. Police are still investigating.
