- Morris went missing from Heflin, Alabama in November 1991. Six years later, in the summer of 1997, someone found his body on a piece of land near County Road 533. The body was too damaged by the weather to be identified with DNA testing back then. But in 2022, scientists used better technology and confirmed the remains were Morris’s. Police now say his death was a murder and are trying to find out who killed him.
