Details of Disappearance:
Five-year-old Jackie went outside to play in Topeka, Kansas, on September 12, 1981. After the other kids went inside, Jackie was alone. Her family didn’t notice she was missing until about 4:00 p.m., when they were leaving for a construction site.

Someone saw Jackie walking near her house, being followed by a man. Sadly, Jackie was never seen again.

Police didn’t start looking for Jackie for four hours after she was reported missing. They questioned a man who fit the description of the man seen following Jackie, but let him go.

Jackie was a bright kindergartener who had just started school a few days before she disappeared. Her mom passed away in 2007, but her dad is still alive. Police think Jackie was kidnapped, but there’s not much evidence to help solve the case.
