- Jamie and her cousin, Evelyn Salazar, vanished from Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 26, 2004. Years later, in February 2009, a construction crew found many bodies buried in the West Mesa area of Albuquerque. Evelyn’s remains were identified in November 2009. Sadly, Jamie’s body was the last to be identified, in January 2010. Eleven other women and an unborn baby were also found among the remains. Police are still trying to solve these West Mesa murders.
