Details of Disappearance:

Pattison disappeared from Greenland, Michigan on August 26, 1993. She’d been at a bar with two older men and went to their cabin. She left around 10:30 pm and never reached home.

A week later, her car was found stuck on a remote dirt road. Her belongings were inside, except her wallet and ID, which were at her house. Footprints near the car looked like hers (she wore nurse’s shoes), but it wasn’t confirmed. Search dogs couldn’t find her scent.

Police thought she might have gotten lost and confused because she’d been drinking and taking medication. However, the area was so rough and wooded, her family doubted she’d driven there herself; they thought someone might have left the car and footprints to confuse things. Suicide and foul play were also considered, as she’d attempted suicide before. Running away was unlikely as she was close to her family and had little money.

There were unconfirmed sightings of her a few days later, but the men she was with were cleared as suspects (they’ve since passed away). Pattison was a former nurse, and her disappearance remains a mystery.
