- Details of Disappearance:
- Norat, a landscaper in Lakeland, Florida, disappeared on June 19, 1990. She left work around 8:30 a.m. to get her daughter from summer camp for a doctor’s appointment but never arrived. Her car was found abandoned nearby a few days later.
One daughter thinks occult involvement might be a factor, noting pentagrams found at home after Norat vanished, though she never saw her mother involved in occult practices. The other daughter believes Norat left due to personal stress.
Police, however, suspect foul play (murder). Norat’s husband had recently died in a car accident, and she may have had a large insurance payout. Despite leaving thousands of dollars in the bank untouched, the case remains unsolved, even after new evidence emerged in 2007. She was close to her daughters and had previously worked as a nurse.
