Details of Disappearance:
Jeanie vanished in Carthage, Texas on April 2, 1994. She went to get medicine for her sick baby, borrowing her mom’s car. The car was found abandoned later that day, unlocked, with her purse, keys, and the medicine still inside. There were no signs of a fight.

Jeanie was separating from her husband, Charles, and they were fighting over their two young sons. Their marriage was abusive, with both of them having been arrested for hitting each other. Charles was supposed to take a lie detector test about Jeanie’s disappearance, but the day before, he claimed he’d been shot. Police didn’t believe him; they found gunshot residue on his hands, showing he was shot at very close range, and charged him with lying. He was convicted.

Police investigated Jeanie’s disappearance twice, but couldn’t solve the case. They think foul play was involved, but no one has ever been charged. Jeanie is still missing.
