Details of Disappearance:
Harmon disappeared in Mississippi on June 29, 1985. The day before, he’d talked about buying a car. He was living with his mom, who was in the hospital at the time of his disappearance. He left his paycheck at home.

Before he vanished, Harmon won money in a lawsuit and was threatened because of it.

Years later, in 2009, a man named Rodney Mills confessed to burying Harmon’s body, but said he didn’t kill him. Mills was already in prison for murdering his cousin’s husband (he claimed his cousin hired him to do it, but later took that back). He told police where he buried Harmon, but when they dug, only one body was found.

Even though Mills confessed to burying Harmon, he’s never been charged with his disappearance. The case remains unsolved, and Harmon’s father is still hoping to find out what happened to his son.
