- Details of Disappearance:
- Jenna Verhille disappeared from her home in South Rockwood, Michigan on August 17, 2017. Her dad heard her give directions to someone over the phone before she left with a man in a tan Ford car with Ohio plates. She didn’t pack anything. That night, she texted her mom saying she wouldn’t be home, but then stopped answering calls and texts.
Jenna had struggled with heroin addiction after high school, despite her mom’s efforts to get her help. She’d recently been released from jail and had started a new job and hoped to go back to school. She hadn’t told her parents about any plans the day she vanished.
At first, her family feared she was kidnapped, maybe even a victim of human trafficking. However, now the police and her family believe she likely died from a drug overdose around the time she disappeared. Her body hasn’t been found, and the case remains a mystery. Police are still hoping to find her remains.
