- Details of Disappearance:
- On November 5, 1993, Agnes Rehbinder, a retired teacher, left her home on Garrard Road in Fort Meade, Florida, for her usual walk around 1:45 p.m. She lived in a quiet, rural area near Lake Buffum with her grandson. She never came home.
Although police searched thoroughly, they found no clues. Rehbinder didn’t drive, and while she’d gotten lost on walks before, her grandson always found her. This time, she disappeared completely.
Her daughter thinks a car might have accidentally hit her, and the driver hid her body out of fear. But there’s no proof of that or any other explanation. The mystery of what happened to Agnes Rehbinder, who taught at Lewis Elementary School for over 30 years, remains unsolved.
