- In 1985, a college freshman named Schmidt, studying electrical engineering at Purdue University in Indiana, disappeared. She lived in Ohio and was last seen on campus on August 6th, 1985, after leaving her apartment to see a professor. Someone saw her talking to a friend near Grant and Northwestern Streets, but that was the last time anyone ever saw her. Police suspect she was harmed, and she was officially declared dead in 1993.
