- Van Meter disappeared from Mason, West Virginia on September 1, 2006, and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. We don’t know much about what happened. He was a Navy veteran, and at the time he disappeared, he was on probation. Three months later, in January 2007, a warrant was issued for his arrest because he didn’t go to court.
