Details of Disappearance:
Four-year-old Jeremy went missing on February 18, 1977, in Atchison, Kansas. He was playing outside a babysitter’s house near the Missouri River when he wandered off. This was the first time he’d been allowed to play alone outside. Search dogs followed his scent to the river, leading police to believe he fell in and drowned. Despite a big search, his body was never found. His family held a memorial service for him and his mother later wrote a book about it called “In Search of Jeremy: A Mother’s Story.”
