Details of Disappearance:
On November 3, 2007, Tucker disappeared from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She left her mother’s house around 11:30 PM saying she was going for cigarettes, but never returned. She was a good mother and employee, so her sudden disappearance was very unusual. She didn’t have a car.

A month earlier, Tucker accused her ex-boyfriend, Allen Shields, of rape. Shields was arrested but released on bail. He claimed the sex was consensual. Tucker’s disappearance happened right before she was supposed to testify against him in court, and the rape charges were dropped. Shields became a prime suspect in her disappearance, though he denied any involvement.

Later, in February 2010, Shields was arrested for breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home with a “kidnap/murder kit” (weapons, restraints, etc.). He attacked the ex-girlfriend, but her daughter called the police, stopping him before he could kill her. Shields was convicted of assault.

There were striking similarities between the attacks on Tucker and Shields’s ex-girlfriend: both women had dated Shields, their relationships ended badly, and both had restraining orders against him.

Shields was also involved in other crimes, including a conspiracy to murder a businessman. He pleaded guilty and got probation. Police later took his DNA for a different murder investigation.

In April 2011, Shields committed suicide after a standoff with police, where he held his ex-girlfriend’s daughter hostage.

Because of the suspicious circumstances and the similarities between his crimes and Tucker’s disappearance, police strongly suspect foul play in her case, but it remains unsolved. Tucker’s children are now with family.
