Details of Disappearance:
Parker disappeared in Los Angeles on November 17, 1998. Her family thinks she might have been killed by the “Grim Sleeper,” Lonnie David Franklin Jr.

The Grim Sleeper was a serial killer who murdered several African-American women in the 1980s and again starting in 2002. Franklin was caught, convicted in 2016, and sentenced to death, though police believe he may have killed many more than the ten he was convicted of. He died in prison in 2020.

Police found photos and videos of many women at Franklin’s house, some of whom were later identified as missing persons. Other missing women, including those similar to Parker who used drugs and worked in prostitution, are suspected to be victims but haven’t been officially linked.

Parker’s case is still unsolved, and while she’s not confirmed as a Grim Sleeper victim, the possibility is being considered.
