Details of Disappearance:
On October 17, 1994, a woman named Piotrowski called in sick to work. Later that day, she was seen with Ronald Erhardt at a car repair shop. Erhardt told police they argued in Buffalo later that day, and he went home alone. However, Piotrowski vanished.

Erhardt acted suspiciously: he canceled a check for an apartment Piotrowski was getting and removed her belongings from her home. Although he claimed a fatherly relationship, police suspected a romantic involvement. They found hair at his hunting camp, but couldn’t link it to Piotrowski.

Piotrowski, originally from Michigan, had moved to New York with Erhardt’s son (her fiancĂ©), but they broke up. She moved in with Erhardt. Her disappearance is considered suspicious, and Erhardt, now living in Kentucky, won’t help police. He’s the main suspect. Police in Hamburg, New York are still investigating.
