Details of Disappearance:
Jessie disappeared from Glendora, California on March 29, 1996. She left without any clothes. At first, police and her mother thought she ran away.

Now, investigators believe Jessie was raped and murdered that same day. They think her body was thrown into the ocean near Dana Point.

Michael Thornton and Janeen Snyder are the main suspects. Thornton was Jessie’s mom’s boss. In 2006, Thornton and Snyder were convicted of killing another girl in Nevada. During that trial, Snyder confessed to killing Jessie to a psychiatrist. She said they drowned Jessie, cut up her body, and threw it in the ocean.

Although they were sentenced to death for the Nevada murder, they have never been charged with Jessie’s death. A book about them, *Beauty Killers*, was published in 2010.

Jessie was a kind and religious teen who lived with her aunts before moving in with her mother at age 12. Her body has never been found. Glendale police are still investigating.
