Details of Disappearance:
Ann Racz disappeared in California in April 1991. She was last seen on April 22nd, after dropping off her kids at her estranged husband John’s house. She was going to get burgers, but never came back.

Ann and John were separated, and she was seeing someone else. A cold pizza was left on her kitchen table – unusual for the neat Ann. Her car was found abandoned near an airport weeks later. John claimed she ran off on a trip, but police suspected foul play. Ann was a well-liked community member, and no one had heard from her since March 1991.

In 2006, John was charged with her murder. Police searched his backyard but didn’t find her body. Still, John was convicted based on witness testimony, including from Ann’s children, and the fact that Ann was a very organized person who wouldn’t just disappear. She had also told friends she feared John. John always claimed his innocence but was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison. Ann’s body has never been found.
