- In December 2015, Johnson vanished from his home in Columbia, South Carolina. Nearly four years later, in December 2019, his jawbone was discovered nearby. More of his remains were found the following October, and his gun was found in the same spot shortly after. DNA tests confirmed the remains were his. Police think he died by suicide.
