- On August 28, 1999, Jonathan, his brother Mario, and their mom, Yakelin, vanished from Miami, Florida. They were going to Tampa to see Yakelin’s ex-boyfriend (the boys’ dad), supposedly to get a new car from him. They were driving a rented brown 1999 Chevrolet Malibu (license plate GH830M).
But things are strange: They never showed up in Tampa, and nobody’s heard from them since. It’s even questionable if they actually left Miami; their apartment showed no signs of packing, and Yakelin even left her toothbrush behind.
The mystery remains unsolved.
