Details of Disappearance:: Joseph’s mom, who wasn’t supposed to have him, took him away from Hagerstown, Maryland on August 16, 1998. Ten years later, in December 2008, they were found in Mexico trying to get new passports. They were brought back to Texas, and Joseph’s mom was arrested. His dad went to see him, but 14-year-old Joseph didn’t want to see his father. Now, Joseph (the name is actually Kennedy in the original text, this is a likely error) is living with a foster family until a court decides who should take care of him.
