- Details of Disappearance:
- Robert Hellman disappeared in Omaha, Nebraska on January 29, 2019. Nobody heard from him after that. Police weren’t even notified he was missing until February 21st.
Police now believe he was murdered. In December 2019, they officially said it was a homicide case. Dalton Dukes was arrested for Hellman’s murder in February 2020. (A picture of Dukes is available.)
Court papers say Hellman sold Dukes fake meth. Dukes then got a gun, found Hellman at a house in Omaha, and shot him. Witnesses heard the gunshot and saw Dukes leaving with a body.
Hellman’s body has never been found. Police think it might be in a car at the bottom of the Missouri River in Iowa. Hellman lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the time he disappeared. Everything points to foul play.
