Details of Disappearance:
On March 28, 2003, Goodman, a postal worker in Snowflake, Arizona, was last seen buying candy. She disappeared overnight. Police believe she was kidnapped from her home, which was found with the sliding glass door open, lights on, and the TV running, but with all her belongings still inside. Her work van was at home.

A man named Patrick Conn, who lived on her mail route and had previously threatened her after a dispute, became a suspect. Conn was later convicted of murder and child molestation, though never charged in Goodman’s case. Another suspect was a handyman who’d worked on her TV shortly before her disappearance; Goodman felt uneasy around him.

Goodman was a beloved widow with a large family—four children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—who say she would never leave them without a word. She was healthy and about to retire. The case remains unsolved, and police suspect foul play. Her family held a memorial service years later.
