- Kunayak disappeared in Nome, Alaska on November 18, 1990. She was last seen walking near the Nome Nugget Inn. No one has seen or heard from her since.
Around the same time, and since the 1960s, about 20 other Native Alaskans have disappeared or died mysteriously in the Nome area. The police investigated, but they don’t think one person is responsible for all these cases.
