Details of Disappearance:: On August 31, 1993, Anthony went surfing near Virginia Beach. Around 10:45 a.m., his friends saw him in the water off South Atlantic Drive, but then he disappeared. They searched for him, even getting help from a nearby lighthouse, but couldn’t find him. A hurricane made the ocean very rough that day. Because of Anthony’s disappearance and the dangerous conditions, the beach was closed. He’s never been seen or heard from since. Anthony lived on Woodbough Drive and is believed to have drowned, even though his body was never found.
