Details of Disappearance:
In February 1999, Lowery vanished from her home in Olive Branch, Mississippi, on her daughter’s birthday. She lived there with her two young children and her boyfriend, Sheldon Wright VanHoute (whose real name was Steven “Troy” DeLoge). DeLoge wasn’t the children’s father.

Shortly after Lowery disappeared, DeLoge took the children to a Wyoming hotel, keeping them locked up while he worked. In October 1999, Lowery’s daughter escaped and revealed that DeLoge had been sexually abusing her. He was convicted and given six life sentences.

Police then investigated Lowery’s disappearance. They found traces of blood in the cleaned-up Mississippi house, but no sign of Lowery.

DeLoge is also a suspect in the disappearance of his half-sister, Elizabeth Eisel (who changed her name to Danielle DeLoge after they became romantically involved). Eisel disappeared in Washington in 1985.

DeLoge is the main suspect in both women’s disappearances, but he’s never been charged, and both cases remain unsolved. Police believe foul play was involved.
