Details of Disappearance:
Twenty-year-old Montgomery disappeared in Los Angeles on November 28, 1992. After leaving a party in Oxnard around 5:00 a.m., her bloodstained truck was found abandoned in the Angeles National Forest. She was never seen again.

Justin Merriman, a member of a violent white supremacist gang, was convicted of her murder in 2001. Merriman, who knew Montgomery and had been rejected by her, was at the same party. Witnesses testified he took her to his mother’s condo, raped and killed her, then buried her body with the help of others near Sylmar. Though Merriman claimed innocence and his lawyers cited mental health issues, he was found guilty and sentenced to death. His sentence is under appeal.

Montgomery was a waitress, a college student, and aspiring photographer. Her body has never been found, but all evidence points to her murder by Merriman. The case is detailed in the book *Dangerous Attractions*.
