- Details of Disappearance:
- In April 2000, Burke, an experienced hiker from Dublin, Ireland, went on a two-week vacation to California. He stayed at a hotel near Yosemite National Park and was last seen on April 5th, going for a day hike from Curry Village. His rental car was found in the Curry Village parking lot, but he was gone. He may have had a camera with him. Nobody heard from him again. The search didn’t start until April 11th, and despite a big search, they never found him. His disappearance remains a mystery.
