Details of Disappearance:
On May 3, 2015, Dey disappeared in Lincoln, Nebraska. She left a friend’s house and was walking home alone during a strong storm. A security camera showed her falling into Antelope Creek at 7:27 p.m. Even though the creek was shallow, the fast water swept her away, and she couldn’t swim. A big search didn’t find her. Antelope Creek leads to other rivers and eventually the ocean.

Dey was from India and came to Nebraska for graduate school in biology. She was Hindu growing up but later practiced Buddhism. It’s believed she drowned.
