- On February 2nd, 2009, a woman named Jones vanished. The last time anyone saw her was around 11 pm at her apartment in Parkersburg, West Virginia. She’d spent the day with her ex-boyfriend, their daughter, and his wife. Her ex-boyfriend dropped her off at her apartment building but didn’t wait to see if she went inside.
Jones hasn’t been seen or heard from since. A pension check she received after her father’s death disappeared with her, but no one ever tried to use it. Her family says she seemed perfectly normal before she disappeared, and she left all her belongings behind – suggesting she didn’t plan to leave. She didn’t have a car.
Police suspect foul play because she needs medication that she didn’t take with her, and because she was known to be trusting and lived a risky lifestyle. The case remains unsolved.
