- David Kauffman vanished from Turlock, California in March 2012. A year later, in August 2013, hunters found his body in the Stanislaus National Forest. Police identified the body that October. Then, in March 2014, Robert Lee Woody was arrested and charged with Kauffman’s murder. The police think others were involved, but Woody is the only one charged so far.
