Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, blue eyes. Lueth has a large tattoo of an infinity symbol on the small of her back, and a three-quarter-inch birthmark which is possibly on her upper left arm. Her ears are pierced and she wears an upper denture plate.
Details of Disappearance:
On November 11, 2008, a college student named Lueth vanished from her Lansing, Michigan home. She was studying horticulture at Michigan State University and had just talked to a friend around 5:30-6:00 pm that evening. She seemed happy, but was worried about money after breaking up with her boyfriend and facing higher rent. She planned to sell her truck and get a part-time job.

Lueth missed a 6:30 pm class and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. She left her cat and a nearly finished meal at home, suggesting a quick absence. This was unusual for her; she was known as a responsible and reliable person.

Several months later, her driver’s license, debit card, and phone were found near where her ex-boyfriend, Brad Cournaya, had car trouble the night she disappeared. Cournaya had a history of serious crimes, including rape and child abuse. He lied about his whereabouts that night and was later convicted of sex trafficking. In December 2020, he was charged with Lueth’s murder, but her body has never been found. Police strongly suspect foul play.
