- Details of Disappearance:
- Immergan disappeared in Alaska. His family last saw him in Savoonga (an island) on November 2, 1999. He was going to Nome by plane, but never arrived. Before he disappeared, he told his sister that Nome police officers had beaten him twice. He didn’t report these beatings, and we don’t know if they’re connected to his disappearance.
Around 20 Native Alaskans have disappeared or died mysteriously in the Nome area since the 1960s. Police investigated, but don’t think a single killer was responsible.
