Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian female. Brown hair, green eyes. Depies has a tattoo of an Indian art form that resembles a squid on her right ankle. She may have been wearing brown-tinted contact lenses at the time of her disappearance. Her ears are triple-pierced and her nicknames are Loriella and Ella.
Details of Disappearance:
On August 19, 1992, Tricia Depies was last seen at a Wisconsin mall. She drove to her boyfriend’s apartment complex in her gray Volkswagen. Her boyfriend, sister, and a friend heard her car arrive but she never made it to the apartment. Her locked car was found in the parking lot; her purse and bag were inside, but she was gone. A soda cup with a possibly male thumbprint was on the car hood.

Police believe she was taken by someone she knew, not a stranger. They suspect she may have gone willingly with someone she trusted, only to be harmed later.

In 2010, Larry DeWayne Hall confessed to kidnapping and killing Depies. Hall is already in prison for another murder. He’s a suspect in several other missing person cases, and police think he may have killed many more women. Although he confessed to Depies’ murder, his claim couldn’t be verified, as a search for her body yielded nothing.

Despite Hall’s confession, Depies’ disappearance remains unsolved, and no one has been arrested. There’s been no activity on her accounts since she vanished, and foul play is strongly suspected.
