Details of Disappearance:
Leslee Larson disappeared in Wolf Creek, Montana, on June 10, 1975. Her husband, Dennis, claimed she accidentally drowned while they were mushroom hunting. He said she fell into a swollen creek, went under a log, and he couldn’t save her. However, police noticed his clothes were dry, raising suspicion. Leslee’s body was never found.

Years later, in 1987, Dennis killed his third wife, Kathy, by pushing her off a cliff in Maine. He initially claimed it was an accident, but his story didn’t add up, and he eventually confessed. Police believed he killed Kathy for her life insurance money.

After Dennis’s arrest for Kathy’s murder, investigators reopened Leslee’s case. They discovered Dennis had also taken out a life insurance policy on Leslee. In 2000, Dennis confessed to murdering Leslee, admitting he pushed her into the creek. He was charged with murder but committed suicide in prison in 2001 before his trial. Leslee’s death was officially ruled a murder, though her body remains missing. Dennis had a history of insurance fraud, and his motive in both killings appears to have been financial gain.
