- Details of Disappearance:
- Feng disappeared from her Queens, New York home on July 19, 2002. Her daughter, Jena, found blood and signs of a cleanup attempt in the house when she returned. There was no sign of a break-in. Feng was gone and hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Jena suspects her stepfather, Roger Hui, was involved. Feng and Roger were getting a nasty divorce but still lived together. After Feng vanished, Roger tried to have her declared legally dead in 2008 so he could get her $1 million life insurance policy. Jena believes the police didn’t properly investigate her mother’s disappearance; they claim most of the case files were lost in a flood.
Feng was shy and didn’t speak English, even though she’d lived in the US for 18 years. She left her wallet and passport behind and hasn’t touched her joint bank account with her daughter. Because of the blood and the suspicious actions of Roger Hui, police suspect foul play, but no one has been arrested.
