Details of Disappearance:
DeMaris disappeared from Mason City, Iowa on August 14, 1952. She worked at a traveling carnival selling food. She promised her oldest daughter a birthday dinner, but never showed up. Her car was left at the carnival.

DeMaris had three young daughters and was a widow. She was one of ten siblings, born in Nebraska, and had lived in Iowa and Texas. Her family didn’t report her missing right away, fearing they’d lose custody of the children. Though she’s been declared legally dead, her daughters still hope to find out what happened to her. There’s not much information about her case.
