Details of Disappearance:
On December 11, 1981, Patricia Miller disappeared after leaving her job at Riviera Beach City Hall for lunch with her fiancĂ©, Otis Morgan. They were supposed to have lunch at Morgan’s apartment. Miller never returned to work.

Morgan claimed he later found Miller’s car abandoned nearby, but he couldn’t explain what happened to her. He disappeared briefly in early 1982, but returned, claiming he’d left due to the publicity. He acted guilty, but never confessed to anything. He later committed suicide on what would have been his and Miller’s wedding day, leaving no note.

Police found suspicious stains (blood and acid) in Morgan’s apartment, but not enough blood for testing. Morgan had a violent past, including a prior murder charge (though he was released due to lack of evidence) and allegations of assault against other girlfriends.

Miller was a religious woman, active in her church. It was through the church that she met Morgan, who lied to her family about his past.

Because of the suspicious circumstances and Morgan’s history, foul play is suspected in Miller’s disappearance. The case remains unsolved.
