- Details of Disappearance:
- Knox disappeared in Los Angeles on May 11, 1993, and has never been found. Her family thinks she might have been killed by the “Grim Sleeper,” a serial killer who murdered several African-American women in the 1980s and again starting in 2002.
Lonnie Franklin Jr. was convicted of killing ten women and attempting to kill another, and was believed to have killed many more (possibly up to 25). He died in prison in 2020. Police found photos and videos of many women at his home.
Knox’s case is similar to others linked to Franklin because she was involved in drugs and prostitution, and frequented the area where his victims’ bodies were found. However, she hasn’t been officially connected to him, and her disappearance remains a mystery.
