Details of Disappearance:
Lorraine disappeared on March 9, 1979, in New Jersey. She finished her new job at 4 pm and a coworker gave her a ride almost home. She was last seen around 5:15 pm walking the short distance to her house. She never arrived. Her purse was found in her yard, but her car was at home—she didn’t have a driver’s license.

Lorraine was 19, had recently quit school and broken up with her fiancé. She liked her new job and was looking forward to getting her license. Because she left her paycheck and all her belongings at home, police don’t think she ran away.

The police talked to everyone who knew her, but couldn’t find anyone who would have wanted to hurt her. There were rumors she was murdered and her body hidden at a nearby construction site, but nothing was ever proven. Police had a suspect, but not enough evidence to arrest them. Lorraine’s case is still unsolved, and her family has since moved to Alabama.
