Details of Disappearance:
Little Lucy disappeared from a mall parking lot in Tennessee on July 25, 1996. Her mom, Yong, said she briefly left Lucy in the car to get some packages. When she looked back, Lucy was gone.

Police searched everywhere, but found nothing except a possible clue: a brown or tan minivan seen nearby. They also searched the family’s farm, but Lucy wasn’t there.

Lucy’s parents were having problems. Her dad, Tom, blamed Yong’s close friend, Tammy, for causing trouble in the family. Tammy had been living with them for months. Before Lucy vanished, Tom was trying to make Tammy leave, and neighbors reported seeing Lucy alone and upset. Yong also left Lucy’s older brother home alone a lot.

Yong has been unhelpful to the police. She changed her story about how long Lucy was out of her sight and even said Lucy disappeared from a *different* mall. She failed lie detector tests and refused to talk to police lately.

Things got even stranger. In 2004, a family member came forward saying they saw Lucy at home the night before she disappeared. Lucy looked unwell, and her parents seemed terrified.

Because of this new information, and because Yong isn’t cooperating, police suspect something happened at the family’s home in Montgomery County, not at the mall in Davidson County. Despite all this, Lucy’s disappearance remains a mystery.
