- Details of Disappearance:
- Marc disappeared from Des Moines, Iowa on March 29, 1986. He was 15 years old and lived with his mom and siblings. He told his mom he was going to a friend’s house and maybe a movie, and asked her to save him some pizza. He never came home, and his mom didn’t realize he was missing until the next day. The police wouldn’t investigate until 48 hours later. Marc has never been found.
He’d lived in different places: with his grandmother in Connecticut until he was about 4, then with his mom in Des Moines until age 10, then with his dad in Minneapolis before returning to his mom in Des Moines in January 1985. His mom said he was smart and did well in school, but could be impulsive and lacked good judgment.
At first, police thought he ran away, but since he’s never been heard from, they now think someone else may have taken him. His case is still unsolved.
