- In 1977, a woman named Dodd was kidnapped in West Virginia. The kidnapper, James Hendree, demanded $10,000 for her release. During a planned ransom exchange, an FBI agent shot and killed Hendree after Hendree threatened the agent. Sadly, Dodd’s body wasn’t found until 1993, but it wasn’t identified until 2017 – almost 40 years later! DNA tests confirmed it was her, and police are still trying to solve her murder.
